GardPass Cyber's virtual tour of Europe

Check GPC's virtual tour of Europe!

GardPass Cyber (also known as “GPC”) is a young enterprise but has managed to establish itself in interesting and even exotic places in Europe. Cybersecurity and IT are currently developing very rapidly across the globe but its primary resource is – human. And since people around the world are diverse, the cyber/IT industry is changing and transforming, providing opportunities for new discoveries and breakthroughs.

Standing still is not in the spirit of the GardPass Cyber team (you can discover more about us in "About Us", following this link https://www.gpc.work/about_us/).
Europe has been our first goal, but our network of friends is growing rapidly so watch our development. But first let me take you on a GardPass Cyber tour of Europe.
Fancy working for a spell in La Spezia in Italy?

Just imagine - sun, beach, the seagulls. It’s a beautiful, sunny, port town in northern Italy and is geographically strategic for NATO. Italy also offers some other city sites including Naples and Lago Patria, plus the Naval Air Station Sigonella in Sicily.Naples is the regional capital of Campania and the third-largest city in Italy.

Its historic city centre is the largest in Europe and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Also the Port of Naples is one of the most important in Europe - home to the Allied Joint Force Command Naples, the NATO body that oversees North Africa, the Sahel and Middle East.
Italy is not the only sun-friendly country on which GardPass Cyber casts its accurate eye. Take a boat from Naples and head through Gibraltar to Portugal.

Oeiras is a municipality in the western part of the Lisbon metropolitan area. This site is newly opened and there are several openings for newcomers!

Let’s explore the cyber-heart of our “map with pins” i.e. Belgium, Germany, Netherlands and Luxemburg. These four bordering countries work very well together.
Let’s start with beer, chocolate and chips. But this country is actually a kingdom and accommodates the headquarters of both the European Union and NATO. Of course, it’s Belgium.

Brussels (first photo) and Mons (second photo). Two beautiful Belgian cities - one of them the home of The North Atlantic Treaty Organization. NATO, in our time, is like an “alpha lion” defending his pride of 30 other lions.
So obviously Brussels and Mons can be considered not just two very attractive destinations for tourists, but also an influential and significant location, especially for GPC.
Now we can jump a bit to the right on the map to the country which has many GPC sites. This country is very cultivated, being famous for the Oktoberfest festival and as the homeland of many famous philosophers and figures of science and art. It’s also the largest carmaker in the world. Of course, it’s Germany.

Ramstein-Miesenbach is a municipality in the district of Kaiserslautern in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany, adjacent to the US Ramstein Air Base. And you know what it means when there’s a military base in a beautiful European city, it’s perfect for GardPass Cyber! There is also Uedem and Geilenkirchen - both peaceful German towns near Netherlands border.
We’ll now consider about a country with many traditions including really nice cheese and beer, windmills, tulips fields and lots of canals. All of this makes the Netherlands a perfect place for those who are looking for an unobtrusive place to spend their time at the heart of NATO.

The Hague or Den Haag in dutch is a city on the western coast facing the North Sea. It is also the seat of government of the Netherlands and hosts the International Court of Justice, one of the most important courts in the world.Brunssum is our second site in the Netherlands. It is a municipality in the province of Limburg and the current home of Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFC Brunssum), an operational level NATO headquarters one level below military-strategic level SHAPE in the integrated military command structure.
Next will be a quick visit to a very small town called Capellen in the fascinating duchy of Luxemburg.

It’s a town in the commune of Mamer, in south-western Luxembourg, 12 km west of Luxembourg City. Capellen is home of the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA), currently being transformed into the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA).
Not too far away from the “heart” we can find the “the brain” of our pin map. England is the home of GardPass Cyber and two GPC sites.
The first is the Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton - an airfield of the Royal Navy and British Army, sited a few miles north of Yeovil, Somerset. It is one of two active Fleet Air Arm bases (the other being RNAS Culdrose) and is currently home to many types of Royal Navy helicopters.
The second one is in Northwood (London). The NATO Allied Maritime Command is the central command of all NATO maritime forces.
For next few destinations we will need a plane to save precious time. First, let's try to guess who will get the Nobel Prize and also test out your herring in Stavanger, Norway.

Stavanger is a city and municipality in southwestern Norway. It is the fourth largest city and third largest metropolitan area in Norway. It has even been ranked as the world's most expensive city by certain indices. This is certainly a beautiful city with stunning views. Domestic and international military installations are located there, including the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (established on 23 October 2003 as a subordinate command of Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (HQ SACT)).
Now let’s go for some really nice traditional Polish food - totally different compared to that of the previous countries. Bydgoszcz, Poland is our next city - in northern Poland, on the Brda and Vistula rivers.

In this beautiful city, believe or not traditionally they sell hot beer with ginger and cinnamon in the wintertime. Sounds good! Poland is the only country in Eastern Europe with GPC sites. But it’s just the beginning!
We are moving down the map and nearly finishing our journey. The next but not the final destination is Sarajevo, capital of the mountainous “heart shaped land” Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a compact city on the Miljacka River, surrounded by the stunning Dinaric Alps.

Sarajevo is the political, financial, social and cultural centre of the Balkans, with region-wide influence in entertainment, media, fashion and the arts. Of course, cyber and IT are present as well.
Moving south again, we arrive to the last place in our small but important journey. Izmir is our “trump card”. It’s a metropolitan city in the western extremity of Anatolia. It is the third most populous city in Turkey, in which you can find the world’s oldest and biggest malls.

Why not to try one of these sites yourself – we’d love you to join our “GardPass family”.
Imagine a slice of Italian pizza for starter, Polish sausage for main with a pint of German beer, followed by some Belgian chocolate with glass of Turkish tea! All this on a Portuguese beach, in a log cabin in the forests of southern Norway or in a warm bungalow somewhere in the mountains of Bosnia.
